Mr. Hete is an industrial engineer with masters from the State University of New York. With extensive experience in technology, strategy and business development. As Executive Director of Valuable Group of Companies, Ameya Hete has been responsible for global operations and business development for the various Group initiatives, principally in the business of digital media distribution infrastructure – delivering content, predominantly movies, via satellite based delivery platform. Besides, it is also engaged in the pure-play infrastructure.

His dynamic, innovative and aggressive approach to new business development has allowed the group to execute, organize and consolidate business initiatives into three verticals, Media & Entertainment, Technology and Infrastructure. Ameya is responsible for defining the strategic direction and establishing Valuable Group’s presence and successful operations across India and in various international markets.

He was instrumental in the acquisition of moviebeam, company founded by Disney with over USD 250 million in aggregate investments from industry titans like Intel Capital, Cisco, Norwest Venture Partners and Mayfield Partners in addition to Disney. He has transformed moviebeam to support next generation technologies in providing cost effective Video on Demand (VOD) solutions and is currently driving the company’s foray into the US hospitality VOD business. Among his many achievements and numerous patents registered in his name, Ameya has been instrumental in conceptualizing and driving several innovative businesses, the most illustrative of which is the acquisition, distribution and screening of live IPL matches at theatres and in public venues, in 3D. This is the first time in the world that a single entity has successfully managed and executed live screening in 3D, all the way – from the arena of play to the silver screen, made possible by Ameya’s pioneering technological and business acumen.
